TNA, TEA and CFT: how to compare a loan

TNA describes nominal interest; TEA includes compounding. CFT helps review cost including other items. Compare quotes for the same amount and term with consistent tax treatment.

A published minimum rate is not your quote. Check whether the percentage is nominal or effective, whether VAT is included, and which charges are separate. If the source does not specify the basis, do not put those percentages in one ranking.

In our simulation, 60% TNA means a 5% monthly rate. For ARS 100,000 over twelve months, we calculate payments on the remaining balance using French amortization. Taxes and fees are not automatically included. Use the schedule to distinguish principal from interest.
